It begins with one short video you choose, so the app can learn your child’s voice. Adding one clip of a grown-up in the house helps it tell the voices apart much more reliably.
The voices you keep don’t just sit in a row. They light up the calendar, they let you hear how much has changed, and once a year they become one little film.
Alongside each voice, a small video of the moment and a single photo — so you can watch the scene while you listen. On-device speech recognition drafts a title; it’s only a draft, and yours to rewrite anytime.

Everything involved in finding and saving voices happens entirely on your iPhone. Audio, video, and voice-feature data are never sent anywhere for those purposes.
That isn’t a policy — it’s the design. If code that talks to an outside server ever crept in, the automated checks before each release would fail. A voice or video leaves the device only when you choose to share it.
It starts with one short video you choose, so it can learn the voice. From there, it looks for similar-sounding passages in your videos and lines them up as suggestions — closest first, each described in plain words like “very similar.”
The app never declares “this is your child.” Listening, and deciding what to keep, always belongs to the parent.
For privacy, saved voices are deliberately left out of device backups. Instead, you can make a Copy — a manual ZIP backup — and bring everything onto the new phone.
Voices this precious are worth a fresh Copy now and then. Even if the app or the service someday ends, the voices remain in your hands.
It does. Nothing is ever uploaded to search for voices, so it works with no connection at all — on a plane, up a mountain, anywhere.
It never downloads them on its own. Batch search looks only at the videos already on the phone, and tells you honestly how many it had to skip. If you’d like it to fetch and search those too, that’s a setting you can choose.
It can. “Record this voice” captures up to 20 seconds. Afterward you listen, and whether it stays is — as always — the parent’s call. Recordings and analysis results are never sent off the device.
Memory notes (“one year ago today,” and the like) are local notifications that never leave the phone. No names or voices appear in them — and they can be switched off entirely.
Each child gets their own voice and their own album. The app helps sort out “whose voice is this?” — as a hint only; the final word always belongs to a parent’s ear.
A “grow it together” family group is on the way, though it isn’t available yet. Even when sharing with family, everything stays inside your own iCloud — there is no company server, and voice-feature data (voiceprints) are never shared. Whether to share at all is always the parent’s choice.
